THE SPACE
As you enter the gate to our tropical island resort, the driveway is beautifully lined with traveler and queen palms. Continue up the drive view the river on each side and soon you will see the 5000 square foot island house, which was completely remodeled in October 2022. It features a full kitchen, a prep kitchen, laundry room, large living room, family room/bedroom, 6 bedrooms, 8 bathrooms (5 showers and 2 tubs), and a stunning Air Conditioned Sunroom with a large 16ft live-edge dining table (seats up to 24) where the whole group can enjoy meals, hang out together and watch the stunning sunsets.
Four bedrooms are on the main floor: Bedroom 1 (Master) has a private bathroom and is a quiet place for mom and dad, grandpa and grandma or bride and groom. Bedroom 2 (Sunroom Bedroom) is just off the sunroom with another private bathroom. Bedroom 3 (Poolside Bedroom) is next to the pool with spectacular views of the water and its own private bathroom. Bedroom 4 (Family Room) sleeps up to 7, has doors and windows with shades that can be closed for privacy/sleeping and a large connected bathroom with shower and claw foot tub, perfect for groomsmen to prepare for their wedding. From the kitchen, you can go up the stairs to Bedrooms 5 (Bridal Suite) which has a common area with a queen pull out couch, a Victorian Bathroom with claw foot tub/shower, and a Victorian Powder bathroom. Up three more stairs, there is Bedroom 6 (Loft) with 5 twin beds which is a perfect spot for the bridesmaids, family members or friends before and after the wedding or for an extended vacation.
A spectacular deck overlooks the courtyard offering a unique "No Look" photo opportunity during wedding preparation. The island also boasts a large air conditioned clubhouse where you can setup a game night or have dinner/dancing after a wedding ceremony. Our Harbor Gazebo and Sunset Dock have great water views and plenty of seating provide a serene and relaxing setting while watching the exceptional beauty of a Florida sunset. A heated saltwater swimming pool helps melt away the cares of the day. During the winter you will likely encounter manatees and in the summer you might see dolphins jumping. It is a delight to share our beautiful tropical island resort with you and your family.

MEET THE OWNERS
The owners, Mike, and Karen Peterson, have a vision to serve others and create a place for family and friends to relax, refresh, and reconnect.
As their three children were growing up they vacationed with Mike’s extended family every year at a lake resort in Minnesota. They were able to connect with each other during the vacation week having fun playing games, fishing, shopping, swimming, water skiing, and enjoying meals together. The families didn’t live close together and the week at the lake allowed them to have the bond of fellowship each year.
At Grace River Island Resort, Mike and Karen welcome you to their vacation home where you can gather together to relax, refresh, and reconnect finding the same bond of fellowship they in found with their families during their vacations.
